Throwback Thursday – Videozine 2007

I uploaded it on Sunday in preparation for a Thursday release, and those SCOUNDRELS at the Come Up poached it off of my Vimeo channel almost instantly. Although my initial murderous rage subsided once I saw all the nice things people had to say about it. In retrospect this video is probably the one I am most proud of. It is pretty epic.
And on that note, I’d like to announce the premiere of the newest in what has been a long line of Landozine videos. 2012 marks the 10 year anniversary of Landozine and to commemorate that I am releasing a 10th anniversary video as well as a feature documentary focussing on the Capital BMX Barcelona trip that happened this summer. The premiere will be at the Clocktower Pub on Bank St (right at the 417) on February 11th at 2pm. I’m also working on getting the Taz rented out for that evening, so after the premiere we can all head to Montreal for a shred.

Barcelona Vacation Trailer
Posted by Landozine - 29/11/11 at 07:11:34 pmI’ve had a couple of people ask me what happened to the Barcelona footage, and after sifting through and organizing the nearly 100 gb of footage that was shot on the trip I’ve finally started editing it. It will be included in the ‘Landozine X’ DVD pack scheduled to be released sometime in February to commemorate ten years of Landozine videos. Click the link below to see the trailer. It’s 2 minutes long, and I didn’t really even use any of the best clips. The full video is going to be gnarly.
Epic Woodward Trip
Posted by Landozine - 25/11/11 at 02:11:25 amSince 2007 I’ve tried to make it to Woodward at least once a year. This year I was lucky enough to go twice. Somehow when I went in January it was impossible to convince anyone from Ottawa to join and ended up going alone with Jorden to meet up with the Sudbury guys. But then in November we literally could not fit enough people into cars to head down. We had 13 people for this trip, which even by Jeff’s math calculates to way too many dudes in a hot tub.

Another year, another Halloween Jam. Last year we tried to do it at CP and it just didn’t have the same feeling so this year we returned to the Kanata skatepark in full force. People showed up in costumes and got rad on their bikes for some sick prizes from Ten Pack Distribution. Here are a couple of photos from the event taken by Jackson Vandewouw.

Weather is looking good for this weekend. Get a costume, grab your bike, maybe some beers and come out to Kanata Sunday night to watch people do scary things. We are going to have fun, and smell Tommy’s pads.
