Posted by Landozine - 30/09/09 at 10:09:35 pmWe’ve all heard the expression “Sex Sells”. And I doubt there is anyone here who would argue it, but never before have i seen a better example of it (without pointing to the overly obvious that is). The photo I took below is of a billboard down by the War Museum in Ottawa. It is advertising the first phase of condo sales in the new buildings… notice that there is an attractive female at the forefront, and a mysterious (bordering on ominous) rugged dude blurred in the background…

Editorial: A Call For Action
Posted by Landozine - 29/09/09 at 01:09:11 amWe’ve all seen them at the skatepark. A Heinous abortion of an otherwise smooth and stylish trick- A maneuver that instantly makes you wonder how quickly you could carve into your eye socket and dig your retina out with a spoon. The trick I speak of is clearly the “downwards stretched no hander” or the “Donkey Kong”.

Brandon Photo Contest.
Posted by Landozine - 18/09/09 at 12:09:31 amAs most of you probably remember, I had a call for entries for a photoshop contest a couple of weeks ago. It involved taking a picture of brandon on the beach and putting him into hilarious positions. Here is a sample of what was contributed, I’ll let you guys be the judge of who won. Comment on this story with your vote.
Entry #1 from Jamie Dean, an elegant Brandon in a field. The least gay of the entries somehow…

Race Night Coverage
Posted by Prashant - 16/09/09 at 08:09:38 amLast Friday’s Capital BMX race night was a success. Lots of riders showed, and the track probably saw the most amount of pegs it has ever seen. Jamie and Jeff had the BBQ going, and Rich did all the organization leg work to make sure everyone was racing and having a good time. In the end we raised over $200 to go towards new ramps at the Orleans Park. It’s a good starting amount, and hopefully we can get a couple more events like these under our belts before the snow hits for the year. Big thanks once again to Rich for all the work he put in to this, and everyone that showed up and supported it.
Ben Kaufman was on hand with his dad cam and shot and edited this video of the night, as well as took a few photos that you can click below to see.

Corey Dewey – Top 3’s
Posted by Prashant - 13/09/09 at 08:09:26 amCorey Dewey may not be from Ottawa, but he is one of the nicest and friendliest people you will meet from Montreal. On top of that, he is a more than amazing bike rider. I asked him a few questions to find out what some of his favorite three things are on various subjects, which you can read by clicking below, as well as watch his Presence part, amongst other recent web videos.

Race Night After Party.
Posted by Landozine - 11/09/09 at 03:09:41 pmTonight after getting all sweaty while pedalling down a dirt track, come get wild at
Brandon’s house. He has guaranteed a harem of chicks, and lots of ruthless high kickery.
This is your last chance to get wild this summer, take it by the horns and lets get ruthless.

Throwback Thursday
Posted by Prashant - 10/09/09 at 07:09:59 am
Jeff tucks over the smaller pyramid.
I don’t know if these photos are old enough to be considered a ‘throwback’, but in light of hearing that this spot in Jersey City, NJ has been torn down and plowed, I thought I would put up these photos I had on my computer from a trip four years ago. Click below to read more and see some more photos.
