Race Night Coverage
Posted by Prashant - 16/09/09 at 08:09:38 amLast Friday’s Capital BMX race night was a success. Lots of riders showed, and the track probably saw the most amount of pegs it has ever seen. Jamie and Jeff had the BBQ going, and Rich did all the organization leg work to make sure everyone was racing and having a good time. In the end we raised over $200 to go towards new ramps at the Orleans Park. It’s a good starting amount, and hopefully we can get a couple more events like these under our belts before the snow hits for the year. Big thanks once again to Rich for all the work he put in to this, and everyone that showed up and supported it.
Ben Kaufman was on hand with his dad cam and shot and edited this video of the night, as well as took a few photos that you can click below to see.

More 39C Jam Photos
Posted by Prashant - 28/08/09 at 11:08:08 amOne of the disadvantages of shooting with film is the time it takes to get developed, and usually someone has beat you to the digital punch. That’s OK though. I just got a roll of film back that I shot mostly at the 39C Jam last weekend, and put up a few photos from the day, and the trip to the quarry afterward. Click below to check them all out.

39Cigarbeque Ghetto Ramp Jam
Posted by Landozine - 24/08/09 at 11:08:10 amYesterday saw host to the “event of the season” here in Ottawa. Jeff, Marc, Kyle and Jamie (and probably oxenburghinson to some extent as well) put on a jam with all the 39c ramps in behind Jeff’s warehouse. The turnout was healthy, I never did a head count but I’d confidently estimate having over 30 people there at one point.

39C Jam & BBQ
Posted by Prashant - 17/08/09 at 10:08:46 amJeff and all the other members of the 39C-gar household are putting on a jam next weekend in the parking lot of Jeff’s place of work (88 Bentley Avenue). Because of scheduling conflicts with the Presence Jam in Montreal they have pushed it to the Sunday. I took it upon myself to make a flyer for the event.
Come out and you can expect their selection of ramps (3 foot quarters, grind box, etc.), BBQ, heckling, mini contests (long jump, footdown perhaps?), and a laid back afternoon of fun.
Those that aren’t familiar with the location you can click here and get directions from wherever you are, or click below for a full map.

Ben K. with a double whip at last years demos.
If you are around downtown tomorrow for Canada Day be sure to check out the Craz-E-Crew demos going on in front of Top of the World on Rideau Street Street and the demos in front of parliament hill. Ben Kauffman, Prasheel Gopal, as well as the usual Craz-E-Crew guest riders will be riding all day, weather permitting, so come and check it out if the rain holds off.
