A New Season Begins
Posted by Landozine - 11/03/12 at 09:03:11 pmAnyone who went outside today probably noticed the delightful t-shirt weather. I went out to Orleans to check out a snow free (yet wet) skatepark with Tommy, Jay, Nick and Steve. It was definitely nice to see the sun again, and apparently we can expect the same sort of weather all week. So it looks like an early start to BMX season this year.
After a winter of hibernation, Tommy Hains is ready to bounce around on coping once again. He was killing the park until a girl showed up and his crippling social phobias caused his muscles to lock up and eyes to bulge.

Thanks for Coming Out!
Posted by Landozine - 13/02/12 at 12:02:57 pm
Big thanks to everyone who came out for the video premiere on Saturday and made it such a great success. We had over 30 people out to see the video, and raised about $250 in DVD sales which will be going towards production of my upcoming short film “Gott Ist Tot“. After the premiere we all went out and had a good old game of hockey, and then headed to Taz for a rental session…

Big thanks to Joe Mamma’s as always for setting us up with the venue. And after the whole thing is wrapped up most of us are going to be heading to Montreal to ride Liam’s Taz rental. Halloween Jam 2011 – Get a costume already.
Posted by Landozine - 13/10/11 at 08:10:24 pmWeather is looking good for this weekend. Get a costume, grab your bike, maybe some beers and come out to Kanata Sunday night to watch people do scary things. We are going to have fun, and smell Tommy’s pads.
Nick Stupich – Broke off.
Posted by Landozine - 17/09/11 at 08:09:04 pmToday while riding the Aylmer trails, Nick Stupich took a rough tumble and dislocated his ankle. He was trying a one footed 360 and just came down on his extended foot in a way that was not meant to be. I’m not a doctor or anything, but I have watched a good deal of Grey’s Anatomy and my opinion is that amputation is the most probable solution to his dislocation problem… but I’m not a doctor on paper or anything so what do I know?
Nick’s Ankle. Those bumps probably shouldn’t be there…

New Skatepark for Ottawa region.
Posted by Landozine - 07/08/11 at 03:08:49 pmSeveral months ago when we re-launched the Capital Riders Organization website I received an email from a Kemptville rider named Dan Williams. He asked if Capital Riders could help get a park built in Kemptville. Unfortunately there wasn’t much we could do other than offer some advice, but it seems that Dan took that advice to heart and combined with his determination was able to get the wheels rolling. According to THIS article Kemptville will be beginning construction on a skatepark later this month. The really cool thing about the project is that it is being done as part of a reality TV show. So there is some 3rd party funding being thrown in. I haven’t been able to find any details on what kind of park it is going to be, or what we can expect as far as size is concerned, but it is being built by Spectrum, who have done many many parks in Ontario so we can expect something of high quality at the very least.
If anyone has information on this park, please email me – landozine@hotmail.com as I’d like to keep Ottawa’s BMX community updated.

High Jump
Posted by Landozine - 14/07/11 at 03:07:18 pmFound this picture of young Ottawa local Riley Scott riding in a high jump competition at Woodward during his stay. Anyone who has ridden the woodward resi knows this is pretty impressive and probably hurt the wrists/ankles regardless of being a resi setup. Good job dude!
