Yeserday at CP, Roland pulled what I believe to be the first pocket handplant. Coming out of the vert wall, he handplanted and swung around 90 to land in the bowl corner. Super technical, super insane, super amazing. Downside handplants are probably my favourite trick to see, and this is just pushing the limits of that trick for sure. The landing was pretty chaotic, what I like to call “contest run pulled” but it definitely counts. Roland just wanted to get the trick done before winter, I’m sure he’ll have them dialled by summer.

Due to the turn in weather today, and the risk of showers, we are pushing the annual Halloween Jam to tomorrow, Sunday, October 31st, at 3pm until dark at Centrepointe Skatepark. Everything else will be as planned with a 180 contest, footdown, and more. Show up with your costume and be ready to have a good time, eat some candy, and win some prizes. Please pass on this info to anyone you know that was planning to attend.

Alright everyone. The #1 event of the year is coming up this Saturday October 30th at NOON. Everyone show up with your costume to ride Centerpoint (Legacy) Skatepark and have a great time. I just picked up the box of prizes from Ten Pack and its full of great gear. We have NEVER had a Halloween Jam with so many prizes. Between the stuff that Ten Pack sent, and the stuff Jose at Joe Mamma’s has provided we’re gonna have more stuff to hand out than we know what to do with.
So come out and support the Ottawa BMX scene. Don’t be a quiet weird queer and not show up because you “don’t care”. If you don’t care about having fun, then you should probably just slit your wrists now and save the rest of us from paying the healthcare bills that will inevitably pay for your anti-depressants. BMX and costumes. Fuck yeah.
New Spot Check with Craig Robinson

Craig and I went and checked it out this afternoon and spent an hour or so riding it. Anyone who knows Craig and how he rides knows that this spot is right up his alley. Before Jeff left to go out west he left a bunch of footage with me. I’ve been holding it hostage due to his still owing me 500$ for the Van rental in Germany but I don’t want this footage to go to waste so here it is. Also, I’ve hosted it on a new website called Blip. The cool thing about this site is it allows you to generate Ad Revenues, I normally wouldn’t do this but as I mentioned before Jeff owes me about 500$ and has no job. So whatever money this video raises, I will deduct from Jeff’s tab. Spread this video around, show your mom, show your grandma, watch it over and over again if you want to help Jeff. If you don’t want to help him… report the video and have it taken off because I definitely did not get the rights from Styx for the music. I don’t care. haha.

It’s that time of the year again! Halloween is quickly approaching and as per usual we will be holding a Jam. This year it will be held at CP instead of Kanata and will be during the afternoon instead of the evening… oh the beauty of weekend halloweens. Either way, this is an open invite to every rider in Ottawa to show up and have a good time. We have some great prizes, there will be food and drinks and friends.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 30th @ Noon. CP Skatepark. Be There or Be Dead.
