Halloween Jam Photos

After postponing the jam because of rain, then a night of snow, we still managed to have the annual Halloween Jam go down. The weather was still pretty chilly, and some fierce winds, but close to 20 riders came out to have fun, some in costumes and some not. Check out some of the photos below of the fun and excuse the time stamp on them (didn’t realize it was on). Big thanks go out to Joe Mamma and Ten Pack for hooking up the event with tons of goods for the riders, and everyone for coming out in the cold to attend.

Rich took back the title for the 180 contest champ, and Ben Kaufmann (lego man) had the farthest straight jump all the way to the dirt.

New Spot Check with Craig Robinson

Before Jeff Bedard moved to Vancouver he found this gem of a spot, and to my knowledge nobody but him and I had ridden it until today. Craig and I went and checked it out this afternoon and spent an hour or so riding it. Anyone who knows Craig and how he rides knows that this spot is right up his alley. Take a look at the pictures for proof.

Jorden Guth iPhone Photos

Jorden Guth is known for his severe attachment to his iPhone.  It’s no secret that he’s got an app for pretty much everything, and carries his phone wherever he goes.  I always see Jorden snapping photos with his phone, so I asked him to send through a selection of them.  Click below to check out more random iPhone photos from Jorden.

Random Photo

Kyle - Icepick

Kyle Lafleur sent over this random photo shot of him doing a tall icepick stall on a fence in Sudbury before he headed off to work the tar sands of Fort McMurray for a few months.

Come Dig

IMG_7002

Hope for lots of rain on Thursday to soften things up. Then come dig Saturday all day and at least get a session in on the 1/4 setup. I will be going to the United Video premiere put on by Joe Mamma's later that night. Do it! Brenna shot this photo today.

Orleans Box Jump in the Paper

At the Box Jump Jam the other week a photographer from the EMC Orleans paper came out to shoot some photos of the event, and we got most of the bikers and skaters to get a picture on top of the ramp with Orleans Councillor Bob Monette. Tommy grabbed a copy and scanned the pages for everyone to see. Click the image to see it bigger, then click below to see the second page with amazing photo journalist action sports photography.

Box Jump Be Awesome

Tonight I witnessed what I’ll consider the first official session on the box jump. Here are a couple of photos to give you an idea of how cool it is.

Vancouver Odyssey: Day 7 + 8

I am sitting at the airport, killing time, so I thought I would put up some photos from the last couple days of the trip.  Little to no BMX in any of these as Chitaroni and I spent the day at the Museum of Anthropology at the UBC campus, followed by a stroll down a nude beach, a ruthless night out, then a day of recovery and packing to head home.

Cruising UBC campus again we spotted this show setup.

Vancouver Odyssey: Day 6

Yesterday we went to UBC campus and met up with Shawn Henderson who showed us around. Amidst all the back-to-school week festivities we found plenty of things to ride, even some dirt jumps next to the campus. After all of that we cruised around downtown and took in some spots and sites. Check out more photos after the link.

We got asked to leave this one spot in particular a few times this day.
