Throwback Thursday – Videozine 2007
Posted by Landozine - 19/01/12 at 01:01:47 pmFirst off, The Come Up sort of ruined this one. I uploaded it on Sunday in preparation for a Thursday release, and those SCOUNDRELS at the Come Up poached it off of my Vimeo channel almost instantly. Although my initial murderous rage subsided once I saw all the nice things people had to say about it. In retrospect this video is probably the one I am most proud of. It is pretty epic.

And on that note, I’d like to announce the premiere of the newest in what has been a long line of Landozine videos. 2012 marks the 10 year anniversary of Landozine and to commemorate that I am releasing a 10th anniversary video as well as a feature documentary focussing on the Capital BMX Barcelona trip that happened this summer. The premiere will be at the Clocktower Pub on Bank St (right at the 417) on February 11th at 2pm. I’m also working on getting the Taz rented out for that evening, so after the premiere we can all head to Montreal for a shred.
More info to come.

Halloween Jam 2011

Ben Kaufmann with an absurdly high hop for a guy with a shoulder injury. 41″.
Another year, another Halloween Jam. Last year we tried to do it at CP and it just didn’t have the same feeling so this year we returned to the Kanata skatepark in full force. People showed up in costumes and got rad on their bikes for some sick prizes from Ten Pack Distribution. Here are a couple of photos from the event taken by Jackson Vandewouw.

VIDEO CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT.
Posted by Landozine - 06/07/11 at 11:07:15 pmBy popular demand, the contest is going to be extended until the end of the weekend. So all entries must be received by Sunday July 10th at 11:59pm.
Here are the steps to submit.
1) Upload your video to Vimeo (not youtube). It only takes 5 minutes to make an account. Once you upload it, make sure that your video is downloadable as well as streamable, its in the options. That way I can download it to show at the awards ceremony.
2) Make sure your video is password protected with the password – shootyourself
3) Send an email to landozine@hotmail.com with the name of the rider and the name of the filmer/editor or whoever else was involved.
4) We will go over the videos, choose winners and announce them at an awards ceremony to be held in the next 2 weeks.
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s entries!!

When life gives you lemons... don't make lemonade. Just pretend your civic is a pickup truck instead. Free wood!
