FilmKit 2010 – Video Setup
Posted by Roland - 07/06/10 at 11:06:53 pmDespite the fact that I’m some sort of computer geek I really don’t score very high on the gadget index. Lately though, I’ve been thinking about getting a decent camera setup… While I was in Seattle I thought maybe it was time to pull the trigger so I walked in to the first Best Buy I saw to pick up the Canon Rebel T2i.

Canon Rebel T2i
Sweetness….
They were sold out
Bummed.
I really wanted to shoot a little video while I was in Seattle (apparently there are sasquatch around…) so I did what I always do…get creative. Here is what I came up with.
Start with:

Play"Homer Says"
Mix the colors:

Pink goes in the middle.
Mix some more:

Mix some more.
Shape:

Might be too much pink.
Add:

Result:

FilmKit 2010
I know the quality isn’t good but there is something to be said for traveling light. This actually worked pretty awesome for a little self filming and I will definitely use it again.
Now I just have to learn how to edit clips.
Cheers,
Roland

I’m holding out for the ShaveKit 2010 – Razor Setup article

All you need to do now is place it inside a giant novelty hat. Very inconspicuous.

ShaveKit 2010
Same as the ShaveKit 1984.
Its my personal opinion that, despite what all the razor companies ads tell us, there really is not a lot of technology in hacking small hairs off your face (or wherever you shave…).
Consequently, I’ve been using the same razor since I started shaving at 9yrs old. Also, like my father before me, and his father before him, I use soap lather. I’ve tried shaving foam, and gels but at the very best I just found them to be as good as soap and in a lot of cases not even. Total waste of money and cupboard/suitcase space.
