Weather is looking good for this weekend. Get a costume, grab your bike, maybe some beers and come out to Kanata Sunday night to watch people do scary things. We are going to have fun, and smell Tommy’s pads.

Look at how unimpressed he looks. And Lawlor covering his face out of embarrassment for him…girl just would not give up, creeping in closer and closer, look at how much empty seat there is on the right! Too bad Jeff wasn’t there. He’d have been all over her.

This is the video that made Andrew Grant an international superstar, and established Jorden as King Coma. I can’t believe that this video came out 5 years ago. It feels like just yesterday we were sitting around 206 watching menu screens in our underwear. (and pads)
I watched it all the way through last night and got a serious nostalgia bomb. I miss being unemployed and road tripping constantly. Hell, riding my bike every day like I did then would be fun now. But I guess I’ll have to settle for watching old videos for a while since winter is on the come up.

Every once in a while something hilarious falls out of the internet and into your lap… and you’re helpless to laugh. However this time after laughing I felt terribly disturbed. And for those of you who know me, that doesn’t happen often. Above you’ll see the opening scene for a Flash based game where you play a rapist. Yeah, you read that right. The game involves you chasing a woman down the beach, dodging obstacles like her shoes and her purse which she throws at you until you reach the end of the beach, catch up to her and rape her.
Somebody somewhere put a lot of time and effort into making this, and should probably be arrested. Click the image to play it and see for yourself. The music alone creeps me out.

Dirt Jam 2011 = Massive Success.

On Saturday we held the first annual (hopefully!) Dirt Jam at Josh Brose’s family farm out in Pembroke. The weather all week was terrible, and many of us were worried that Saturday would be rained out entirely but it ended up being one of the most perfect fall days ever. Blue sky, warm sun, crisp air. There were well over 20 riders that showed up to shred the large 4 pack, 4 foot tall street spine and massive quarter to wallride.

Nick Stupich – Broke off.
Posted by Landozine - 17/09/11 at 08:09:04 pmToday while riding the Aylmer trails, Nick Stupich took a rough tumble and dislocated his ankle. He was trying a one footed 360 and just came down on his extended foot in a way that was not meant to be. I’m not a doctor or anything, but I have watched a good deal of Grey’s Anatomy and my opinion is that amputation is the most probable solution to his dislocation problem… but I’m not a doctor on paper or anything so what do I know?

TRAILS JAM ANNOUNCEMENT + TRAILS VIDEO

Come out and get your bike dirty at Josh Brose’s family farm where he has built two spectacular doubles and a big lofty quarterpipe. We’re going to be riding all day in a non formal jam format, with prizes donated from Jose Bray and Joe Mamma’s.
Even you brakeless street dogs should strap on your helmets and elbow pads and come out. Even if you’re not feeling the jumps, we’re going to have food, drinks, music and good times. It also happens to be Josh’s birthday, so there will be much celebrating going on.
Drive out, ride for the day, and sleep over. There is plenty of room to tent, and there are some accommodations inside as well.
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, even non-riding friends who would come out and have a good time. Otherwise you’re just going to be riding in front of a bunch of cows.
Trails Jam – October 1st.

I am excited to announce that on October 1st, Capital BMX will be hosting a Trails Jam at Josh Brose’s farm just outside of Ottawa.
There will be prizes, food, drinks and guaranteed good times. Even if you’re not a trails rider, come out and watch what will surely be an incredible session, have a burger and enjoy what will probably be one of this season’s last big events.
