They’ll let anyone march in this parade…
Posted by Landozine - 14/03/10 at 11:03:20 pmI went to the St patrick’s day parade on Bank Street this past weekend and was pleasantly entertained by not only some pretty interesting bicycle contraptions, but also the information that most of the galactic empire claims some sort of connection with Ireland…
Apparently the dark lord of the sith dons differently coloured capes for different holidays…
The parade wasn’t nearly as extravagant as the Santa Claus, or Gay Pride parades… in fact, there were long pauses between floats, which I can only assume were cleverly placed so you had time to get yourself another beer. Floats which prominently displayed such negative stereotypes as the paddy wagon, drunk irishmen at a bar, and a very confusing chinese family walking along with a dragon… oh and an entirely chinese marching band. I suppose if Darth Vader is allowed to march, its fair game for anyone looking for a good time.
